چکیده
There is no gold standard diagnostic method for breathing pattern disorders (BPD) which commonly diagnosed through the exclusion of other pathologies. Optoelectronic plethysmography (OEP) a 3D motion capture technique that provides comprehensive noninvasive assessment chest wall during rest and exercise. The purpose this study was to determine if OEP can distinguish between active individuals classified with without BPD at Forty-seven healthy (HBP) twenty-six performed submaximal exercise challenge. measured movement calculation timing, percentage contribution, phase angle variables. A mixed model repeated measures ANOVA analysed variables groups as HBP rest, exercise, after recovery. Tidal breathing patterns derived from structured light plethysmography in COPD patients compared with healthy subjects
PURPOSE Differences in tidal breathing patterns have been reported between patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and healthy individuals using traditional measurement techniques. This feasibility study examined whether structured light plethysmography (SLP) - a noncontact, light-based technique - could also detect differences in tidal breathing patterns between patients wit...

OBJECTIVE To investigate abnormal breathing patterns during sleep in prepubertal children using nonstandard polysomnographic patterns in association with an apnea-hypopnea scoring technique. PATIENTS AND METHODS Study participants included 400 children with suspected sleep-related breathing disorders and 60 control children. We analyzed clinical signs and symptoms at entry into the study and ...
